- No school experience necessary to apply
- Both PGCE Primary and Secondary courses qualify you to teach in 1 year
- Bed (Hons) Primary Education with QTS qualifies you in 3 years

Bursaries for teacher training
The Department for Education (DfE) has announced its financial support for PGCE Secondary students (subject to eligibility) during the 2025-26 year:
- £5,000 for English
- £29,000 for Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics
- £26,000 for Biology, Geography
- £10,000 for Art and Design
