On this one-year top-up degree, you will build on your previous studies. Flexible module choices enable you to choose the subjects to study based on your existing academic subject experience. Students specialise in a range of areas such as forensic computing, cyber security, human and computer interaction, quality assurance, database systems, networking, web design, 3D effects, gaming, programming and animation.

You will be required to complete an individual research project related to the main theme of your studies, in an area that interests you. This can take the form of a practical or theoretical project with the support of a lecturer with relevant expertise.   You will have your own personal tutor supports you throughout your studies. If you’re not sure what your career goals are, they will work with you to help shape your plans. Graduates move into a range of competitive industry areas and you will graduate with eligibility to become an associate member of the BCS.

In 2015, we opened the new home for our School of Computing and Technology. With dedicated research labs, purpose-built break-out areas, games consoles, 4k screens in social areas, industry-standard cyber security labs, plus the latest computing technology and software, you will be able to immerse yourself in your subject, both inside and outside your learning.
