Study modules as short courses to build your qualification

You can study the modules and components of our taught postgraduate programmes as short courses. This allows you to study postgraduate modules one at a time, on a flexible study option. By doing this you can fit study around your work and home commitments. By building your qualification, you can also find it easier to gain the support for funding from your employer.

MSc Advanced Clinical Practice and MSc Advanced Professional Practice

These individual modules make up core and optional components of the MSc Advanced Clinical Practice and MSc Advanced Professional Practice programmes. When you pass a module, you will receive academic credit, which is a way of quantifying and recognising learning whenever and wherever it is achieved.

We also offer an Advanced Clinical Practitioner Apprenticeship MSc, enabling experienced healthcare professionals to develop skills, knowledge and specialist capabilities across the four pillars of advanced clinical practice – education, clinical practice, research and leadership

Transition to the full MSc

The amount of credit you receive will vary based on the length of the module. If you decide after taking one or more of our modules that you wish to transition onto the full MSc programme then these modules can be used a credit towards it, where appropriate.
