Here at the University of Gloucestershire we have a great range of computing undergraduate courses. You can study anything from BSc Computer Games Design to BSc Digital Media and Web Technologies. Our computer degrees prepare you for a wide range of career opportunities in the computing and technology industry. All computing degrees are based at out Park campus, a technological hub where computing, design and media students create and collaborate using specialist facilities.
All of our computing degrees are a Bachelor of Science award, which is usually abbreviated as BSc Hons – for example, BSc Hons Computing would mean a Bachelor of Sciences Honours Degree in Computing. If you already have a Bachelor’s degree, you can continue your studies further and study for a Master’s degree in computing.
There are a wide range of computing courses available to study at the University of Gloucestershire that cover a variety of different areas from business computing to creative computing degrees or computer games design. Whatever you are interested in, we have a course to suit you.
For all computing degrees, you will need a certain amount of UCAS tariff points which can be achieved by A Levels or equivalent qualifications. Each course page details the entry requirements for that particular course. Grade 4/C in GCSE English and Mathematics (or equivalent) are normally required for each of our courses. If you don’t meet your tariff points total we may still consider your application so it is always worth contacting us if you are not sure.
During a three year full-time degree you will study different modules and be assessed on what you have learnt in a variety of ways including, essays, presentations, group projects and exams. Some degrees also include placements or work experience with companies in the computing industry and you may also go on fieldtrips.
