Innovative approaches to inclusive practice within a PE and coaching environment
An exploration of innovative approaches within PE and coaching, from both theoretical and practical perspectives, with a focus on maintaining inclusivity.
21 March
Pedagogy: learning theory in school and coaching environments
This session asks you to consider your lived pedagogical experiences of PE and/or coaching through both theory and practical sessions.
Please note: practical kit will be needed for both sessions.

Everyday athlete: applying sport science to work, life and performance
Engage in a range of practical activities exploring physiology, biomechanics, and psychology, designed to help you assess and monitor health, enhance physical performance, and apply sport science principles in real-world settings.
Please note: practical kit and trainers suitable for 3G pitches and indoor use will be needed for this session.
Sports Therapy
Inside the sports therapy clinic: all things knees
Get hands-on with Sports Therapy in this interactive session focused on the knee. You’ll explore how injuries happen, how therapists assess movement and pain, and how treatment and rehabilitation plans are designed to get people back to sport safely and confidently. Expect practical demonstrations, real equipment, and the chance to think like a therapist as you follow the knee from injury through to return to performance.
Strength, Conditioning and Rehabilitation
Push the limits: exploring the strength, conditioning and rehabilitation practitioner
Get ready to put your performance capabilities to the test using our industry-standard equipment and learn how you can enhance your strength, conditioning, and injury resilience.
With expert guidance from our strength and conditioning team, you’ll use your data to create a personalised plan to enhance your performance, just like a professional would.
While offer holders take part in interactive sessions, guests can attend this Q&A session to find out more about UoG and ask questions about tuition fees and loans, accommodation options and admissions.
1.30 – 2.30pm: Lunch.
On campus
Take an optional tour of the Oxstalls halls of residence. You’ll be shown round by a student ambassador who’ll tell you what it’s like to live on-campus and answer any questions you might have.
There will also be a selection of clubs and societies available on the day so you can find out more about student life outside of lectures.
Off campus
Blackfriars residence will be available to view until 4pm. This mix of en-suite rooms, townhouses and self-contained studios is located in Gloucester city centre, a 25 minute walk or short drive from Oxstalls.
Upper Quay will be available to view until 5pm. It offers en-suite rooms and is situated in the Westgate quarter of Gloucester, a 20 minute walk from Oxstalls campus.
Our state-of-the-art Sports Arena, which caters for many different sports, will also be open to view. It’s just a short walk from the main campus.
Free shuttle bus
There will be a free bus running from 2.40pm on the day that will take you between Oxstalls, Blackfriars/Upper Quay, the Sports Arena, and back. It will be running every 20 minutes, with the final bus leaving Blackfriars/Upper Quay to return to Oxstalls at 5.10pm. View the full bus timetable.

By attending an offer holder day, you’ll have the opportunity to upgrade your conditional offer to make it unconditional. To accept your offer, head to the UCAS Hub and make your firm and insurance choices.

If you have time to spare, why not make your way into the centre of Gloucester and get a feel for this historic, vibrant city that you’ll call home.
It’s a 25 minute walk or short drive from Oxstalls and has some great options for shopping at the Quays, and plenty of places to eat and drink in Gloucester Docks.
