We immerse students in the creative strategy behind modern brands, blending real-world problem-solving and creative design. Gain the experience to be a versatile, career-ready professional.

Advertising and branding form the creative force behind every successful organisation.

This course is designed to help you not just become an exceptional content creator, but a strategic visionary who knows the trends and sets the agenda.

As everyday commercial noise gets louder, your challenge will be to cut through that noise and persuade consumers to purchase a product, support a cause or change their behaviour

A deep understanding of professional practice and rigorous academic concepts underpins the entire programme, ensuring you develop competitive strategies and deliver creative solutions.

Our marketing courses are ranked 13th in the UK for graduate prospects by the Complete University Guide 2026.

Outside the lecture theatre, join the student-led Marketing Society to consult on actual marketing challenges for small and medium enterprises.

With the added advantage of CIM accreditation, you are building a highly competitive, evidence-based portfolio that will definitively prove your creative value in the global marketplace.

Your first-year modules provide a deep foundational understanding of creative skills, consumer behaviour and social media channels.

In your second and third years, the academic focus shifts to rigorously analysing and applying your learning in practical, real-world scenarios through modules like Persuasive Advertising, Luxury Brand Management, and Campaign Planning.

Teaching sessions are highly dynamic, adapting activities weekly to include extended seminars, events, and insights from industry guest speakers. You could be in our consumer lab working in small research groups, experimenting with Adobe Creative Cloud software, or pitching your campaign strategies to peers and lecturers.

Throughout your journey, we adopt a problem-based learning approach, perfectly replicating the fast-paced challenges encountered in live creative agencies.

As a UoG advertising and branding graduate, you’ll possess the strategic creative skills and knowledge needed to thrive immediately in roles such as brand manager, advertising account executive, or creative strategist.

Step into the fast-paced world of PR, media planning or digital content creation, where your strategic thinking will make a lasting commercial impact.

Our practice-orientated curriculum and exceptional industry links ensures you’re fully equipped equipped to excel, offering a distinct advantage over traditional vocational pathways by combining deep academic research capabilities with robust creative application.

Elevate your career possibilities with a degree that provides a verifiable return on your investment, opening doors to a spectrum of exciting leadership roles where you will shape compelling brand narratives.
