Focus your degree on business or marketing, or both. If you choose business, you'll learn about managing people, projects and resources, finance and HR. If you choose marketing, you'll learn how to connect brands and customers. Learn through lectures, seminars, group work, reflective practice, business simulations, problem-solving challenges and presenting. Real-world case studies offer you the opportunity to build your expertise while simulations and live pitches to business leaders give you practical experience. Placements can be carried out in the UK or overseas; popular overseas placement destinations include the USA, China and Europe. You may even wish to source your own placement in other countries.
If carrying out a placement abroad, there may be a visa requirement.
On your placement year you will pay a reduced tuition fee and are still eligible to apply for a maintenance loan. Financial support is also available from the Student Finance Team by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org.
